  14. We've run into a glitch which I hope can be easily solved.  We want to
  15. transparently keep our anonymous ftp archives accessible from our VMS
  16. machine on our HP-UX, with the TGV NFS client pointing to the device. 
  17. Then, define the MULTINET_ANONYMOUS_FTP_DIRECTORY to a directory tree on
  18. the device defined by the logical created with NFSMOUNT.  So far, so good
  19. (or so it seems -- if this is a bad idea, please let me know).

  21. When this is done, a DIR command in an ftp session to the VMS machine gives
  22. today's date as the file date.  In fact, doing a DIRECTORY/DATE at the VMS
  23. level within that tree gives today's date.  A VMS DIRECTORY/DATE=MODIFIED
  24. on the NFS mounted device at the VMS level shows dates which are in
  25. accordance with our Unix machine (which is what we'd prefer to broadcast on
  26. the VMS host, as well).

  28. Is there any way to achieve this (i.e., what didn't we read in the manuals
  29. that we should have)?
