  17.     I am running multinet 3.1 rev d on vms 5.5-1 and mounting nfs disks
  18.     from an ultrix 4.2 system.

  20.     The problem I am having is that some of the ultirx directories, when
  21.     looked at from the vms side, do not show up as directories but as files
  22.     If I go to the ultrix system and rename the directory, then it will
  23.     sho up as a directory. To make matters worse, if I rename it back to the
  24.     original directory name, then it shows up on vms as a file again.
  25.     
  26.     for example:
  27.             ultix directory: junk
  28.             should sho up on vms as: junk.dir;1
  29.             but it shows up as: junk.;1
  30.             
  31.     any ideas on what is wrong????

  36. p.s. I've given up on ultrix link files...I can't even begin to discribe the
  37.      problems I am having with those....topic for another day perhaps....
