- Recently while upgrading to Pathworks 4.1 for DOS, LAST and LAD where
- added to the mix to provide access to some new services. Now, after a
- reboot, Windows 3.1 will not run in 386 Enhanced mode. However, if you
- run Windows in Standard mode after a reboot, it will run in Enhanced
- mode aftewards (until the next reboot that is). Not loading the LAD
- device driver solves this problem. Strangely enough, this is not a
- problem on all PCs (although it does happen on a mix, PSs and Compaqs).
- The PCs without problems are *not* configured differently (as far as I
- can tell), file versions, switch settings, etc. are all the same.
-
- Any ideas? I seem to be mentally bankrupt on the subject at the moment
- (and I'm certainly not a Pathworks expert to start with).
-
- Thanks.
