  11. Recently while upgrading to Pathworks 4.1 for DOS, LAST and LAD where
  12. added to the mix to provide access to some new services.  Now, after a
  13. reboot, Windows 3.1 will not run in 386 Enhanced mode.  However, if you
  14. run Windows in Standard mode after a reboot, it will run in Enhanced
  15. mode aftewards (until the next reboot that is).  Not loading the LAD
  16. device driver solves this problem.  Strangely enough, this is not a
  17. problem on all PCs (although it does happen on a mix, PSs and Compaqs).
  18. The PCs without problems are *not* configured differently (as far as I
  19. can tell), file versions, switch settings, etc. are all the same.

  21. Any ideas?  I seem to be mentally bankrupt on the subject at the moment
  22. (and I'm certainly not a Pathworks expert to start with).
