  22. We are seeking an individual contributor for the LAN 
  23. Access Group.  Specific emphasis on implementation 
  24. of changes to the LAN architecture to improve performance
  25.  and support new hardware technologies.  Also participate 
  26. as a member of the LAN project team in all other 
  27. development related activities.

  33. RESPONSIBILITIES
  34.  
  35. ÑParticipate in the design and implementation of new 
  36. software and hardware architectures to provide high 
  37. performance access to local area networks.
  38.  
  39. ÑReceive, investigate and fix or route problem reports 
  40. (TPR's) as required.
  41.  
  42. ÑUse standard development processes to design, document, 
  43. implement, inspect and test code changes.
  44.  
  45. ÑMeet scheduled milestones to insure project objectives 
  46. are met in a timely fashion.
  47.  
  48. ÑActively participate in inspections to assure product quality.
  49.  
  50. ÑWork under the direction of the Project Leader and manager.
  51.  
  52. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  53.  
  54. ÑB.S. in Computer Science or equivalent, with 8+ years 
  55. experience as a software designer with at least 4 years 
  56. experience with data communications products.
  57.  
  58. ÑDemonstrated skills in software design, coding and 
  59. implementation of communications products.
  60.  
  61. ÑC and/or TAL programming experience required.
  62.  
  63. ÑUNIX Device driver, STREAMs, or system kernel level 
  64. programming experience required.
  65.  
  66. ÑMS-DOS and/or UNIX programming experience required.
  67.  
  68. ÑKnowledge of common LAN protocols and LAN 
  69. co-processors desirable.
  70.  
  71. ÑExperience with Guardian privileged code very desirable.
