- ** If you are going to make a claim through the small claims division of
- the County Court then you should be able to handle the matter yourself.
- If you loose, generally, the other side will have to pay their own
- legal costs. However, if the matter is heard before the County Court
- proper for higher claims, then the rule is that costs follow the
- cause. You loose, you pay the costs for the defendant.

- than the small claims court division should consult a solicitor, unless
- you have got the time and the patience to sit down and read the
- County Court act (1984)
