- They probably want to check that you didn't falsify your policy by saying
- you had no convictions when in fact you were stopped for doing 35 in a
- 30 limit.

-
- Yes me. My modem got zapped by lighting. I tried to claim. They are
- refusing because although I don't connect to any customers or earn
- any money from the modem (I just read the news and a bit of email), I
- may read an article which is helpful in my work. It should therefore
- be covered by a business policy. They are right in their logic but
- the frightening thing is the way they questioned me. They were looking
- for an escape and they continued until they found one. This concerns
- me because they can use the same tactics to squirm out of something
- really important.
-
- On a recent TV program, it was shown that insurance companies will
- wiggle out of home theft claims if they didn't like the look of the
- locks on your windows - very worrying.
-
- I am going to write to my insurance company (sorry, my new insurance
- company) to check that in the event of a burglary, the sods will actually
- pay up. It seems to me that any house holder should do the same. Also
- check the small print in the policy for escape clauses.
