- So what? We also have a "command economy" when it comes to public education,
- nuclear defense, road building, disease research, police and fire services,
- emergency medical treatment, and a lot of other things. There are some
- things which are more cost effective for the government to provide, because
- for one reason or another the private sector can not do a better or cheaper job.
- Under the present medical system there is no incentive to hold down costs,
- bills have skyrocketed, and many medical professionals think that Clinton's
- approach will save a lot of money. Go watch Robocop to find out why the
- private sector is not always the best choice for every service.
