- I find it strange that you cannot see the correlation between how a
- person is perceived by others and the subsequent impact on his/her
- self-esteem. Their 'rage' is saying "I have to worry about my looks because
- I am judged by them, but I resent the hell out of it". Having the 'right
- attitude' is just another way of saying "get used to it".
-
- BTW, since you asked in a previous post, I would not date a man who
- had an Elle calendar in his office (I could care less what he has at home).
- I would feel that 1) he is making an 'in-your-face' statement that shows
- liitle concern for the feelings of others and 2) he, on some level, thinks
- of women as objects, and 3) he might find a woman with a more 'realistic' body
- type than Elle's to be unattractive (and who needs *that* rejection?).
- I guess if he were also witty, warm, intelligent and sensitive, well, it
- would just be *my* loss, right? I'd risk it...
