  23. This may -- note I say "may" -- be a source of at least a tiny part of
  24. the problem here.  I have been reading all of these "what is sexist"
  25. (and the preceding thread) postings in soc.men.  Perhaps we all tend
  26. to slant our view of what is posted -- and correspondingly flavor our
  27. responses -- according to what newsgroup we are reading the postings
  28. from.

  31. }requirement on moderators of soc.feminism to be polite to idiots in
  32. }other newsgroups, only to be polite to idiots whose posts we receive for
  33. }approval.

  35. You know, I've been trying to ignore the unwarranted insults you've been
  36. hurling in my direction.  Honestly, I didn't take offense at the original
  37. "Dear" line, and I did kind of like the "Moose" followup.  And I even
  38. tried seriously addressing this topic of the definition and usage of
  39. "sexist".  But more and more you're coming across as just a nasty
  40. individual.  Would it be possible for you to specifically cite whatever
  41. it was that I posted that makes you feel that the label "idiot" is
  42. justified?  Or have I committed some other horrible sin of misreading
  43. and you were not aiming that label at me?
