- Larry, just try to smooth down your rough edges. Your posts are
- welcome, you just haven't read the new users FAQ recently enough
- (or at all).
-
- >How to correct the problem??? I really don't know.
-
- 1) Keep your .signature short. Most people just don't want to see
- pages of drivel. I never cared that your .sig was a big smiley
- face, I just thought it was too damned big.
-
- 2) Don't be in such a hurry to post. Learn how to make your newsreaded
- mark articles for later return and post after you're not in such a
- hurry to do so. And don't consider it bad if this reduces the number
- of postings you make.
-
- 3) Try to get the facts before starting to argue, rather than making
- lame and wrong statements. Your track record is kinda bad here.
-
- 4) Don't jump on every piece of hostile e-mail, but try to look for
- common patterns and be more careful about those areas in the future.
-
- 5) Never, never, ever, ever, crosspost to soc.singles and general
- again. I got three pieces of e-mail flame because I followed up
- an article you posted. I accept responsibility for that, but
- please don't make it more likely that it'll happen in the future.
-
- 6) Satire is hard to write well, and may not be worth the trouble if
- you're not very good at it and/or people don't know you. Smileys
- help, in my opinion. But you'll get flamed for overdoing them, too.
