- Well, at a size 52L, I'm not sure if I qualify as a small businessman, but
- I have found running businesses to come with both advantages and disadvantages
- as far as the mating game is concerned. On the down side, working from home
- and dealing largely with engineers in other parts of the world, I find that
- it offers very few possibilities of meeting MOTAS. On the other hand, I have
- things structured so that I have far more freedom in setting my own schedule
- that is normally afforded by conventional employment--as long as I get a
- reasonable amount of stuff done, there's no reason I can't take a day or
- six off at a moment's whim, which does come in handy.
-
- As far as for when one is already in a relationship, at least one that
- hasn't progressed to the 'living together' stage, the greater flexibility
- compensates for the extra hours; however, I suspect that the problems with
- working more hours would increase if one was living with one's romantic
- partner.
