- For state jobs, the hiring manager has to take the person with the
- highest adjusted score. I believe that a person who scores a higher
- score than someone else is better qualified. Look at some sports.
- In baseball this year, the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Oakland A's
- in the League Championship Series and then the Atlanta Braves in the
- World Series. Someone may think that the A's and the Braves are
- better teams than the Blue Jays, but based upon the rules of the
- game, the Blue Jays had better series' and therefore won the
- World Championship. What matters is how you fare against others
- on these tests. By the way, I do realize that tests have limitations.

- I think that if two people are equally qualified, that one may
- be able to hire the "minority" group member instead of the
- non-minority group member.
-
- How are you going to define minority though? One who is not a
- Christian can claim that one is a minority because Christians have
- the most people in the U.S. So, will you hire a non-Christian over
- an equally qualified Christian? I do realize that the US has laws
- against taking into account a person's creed in the application/hiring
- process.
