- To Kateri/Mary Anne
-
- I suspect that you can not teach a child who tells you to -uck off.
- I think you are very naive on that particular point.
-
- Jeez, easy you two your going to bust something. Children
- must respect their elders and their elders must give them
- something to respect. On that the owner (I'm sorry I didn't
- get your name) is right. He/she may be wrong about just having
- a man around to help discipline them. (that probably stems
- from the fact that for so many of us our dads were the
- disciplinarians) As for your flame of the store owner, Gee
- that really makes me respect you! I would have thought that
- someone at U of C could have found more constructive and
- convincing arguments.
-
- To the store owner.
-
- Yes, calling them animals won't fix anything. Perhaps if a
- few minorities were hired in the store or if the owner
- participated in some sort of community project (if one even
- exists) a little respect would be forthcoming from at least a
- few people in the communtiy. Even given that,
- the problems are much bigger than can be fixed by a
- few projects and a few minimum wage jobs. Support any
- programs in your community that will help make things
- better.
-
- Men around the house does not fix everything. Some of the most
- screwed guys I grew up with were because of their fathers.
