- The most traumatic event of those years to me was Ford
- pardoning Nixon.
- It was a stupid thing to do. I think it pissed the American
- People off and prevented Ford from being re-elected. So although
- he won the nomination over Ronald Reagan lost to a Democrat(knee-
- jerk reaction by the American People. He was incompetant thus last
- times runner-up was elected(Ron).
- The taumatic part to me looking back on it was that I think
- neither Carter or Reagan would have ever been elected President.
- If Ford had never pardoned Nixon.
