-
- I've been too busy to keep up with soc.singles for the last little while, and
- I started in on this thread right at the end. This being said, my point was
- something like, IMNSHO, :
-
- women want a guy that will, among other things (like give them
- multiple orgasms :-), try and take care of himself, and part of
- taking care of oneself is to consider one's owns needs and wants.
-
- Or, to turn it around, do women really want a man that gives no thought to
- his own wants/needs/etc ?
-
- (I'm using 'women' above to mean 'women in general'. I do know at least
- one woman that, at least when we were in a relationship, didn't want
- to hear any of my simple affection needs and wants, and just wanted to
- have her physical needs and wants met. I know from experience how bad
- such user/usee relationships can be. So, if I see relationship advice
- that doesn't include "consider your own wants and needs to rank at least
- as high as your partner's wants and needs", I have this knee-jerk reaction
- telling me to post :-)
-
- >guys are not necessarily any better communicators than women.
-
- I am :-)
-
- >In a relationship, both the girls and the guys should be patient with each

-
- Great, where do I find a woman my age that is patient, and willing to
- communicate ?
-

- >We're not, believe me. <wicked grin>
-
- Some are <wickeder grin> ... but, at the root of it all, we're just friends,
- and simple friendship (ok, it's not that simple a friendship :-) doesn't
- meet some of my emotional wants/needs.
