  27. I honestly believe -- and have been told I'm unusual for this belief -- that 
  28. in a relationship, friendship should come before romance.  Personally, I've
  29. *never* fallen head over heels in love with someone unless I was friends 
  30. first.  Maybe it *is* a little cynical, but I just don't believe in love at
  31. first sight, for myself anyway.

  35. Of course, *your* mileage may vary.  I am not saying that people can't
  36. fall in love at first sight.  It's just that I don't.

  38. It *is* frustrating for the men I date.  The last two relationships I had
  39. were fairly serious and I know that both of the guys were in love with me 
  40. before I was in love with them.

  42. Maybe it's because I look for a friend first, lover second.
