- [I requested a copy of this file for use in the FAQ, though not
- necessarily as a posting, since I'm not terribly interested in
- another discussion of the Trinity. I do get questions now and
- then abouat the scriptural basis, so it's useful to have a list
- of passages that are considered to support it. --clh]

- I've posted this file a couple of times on talk.religion.misc, most
- recently a couple of months ago. This scriptural reference material
- may be used for believers who want a more thorough understanding on
- the Biblical view of the deity of Christ and for those who have had
- some questions on whether the NT writers believed that Jesus Christ
- is God who appeared to us in human flesh.

- There are four sections of Scriptures with many subsections. The
- four sections are:

- Section 1: Jesus was called God
- Section 2: Jesus has characteristics ascribed to God
- Section 3: Jesus is God by comparing Him with the Father
- Section 4: Jesus is God by the type of relationship he has with believers

- In all, there are at last count 266 verses, some of which are duplicated
- in different sections. However, there are probably around 250 unique
- verses. I hope this may be a blessing and may bring praise and honor
- to our glorious God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
