  30. I agree with you 100% but I would go even farther and
  31. say that homeschooling is even preferable to private institutional schools
  32. (in Illinois a home school is a private school just the same as a private
  33. school with 500 or more children).  God gave children to parents not to the
  34. government, not to the church, and not to the church school but to parents.

  36. There is no way that children can be trained up in the way they should go
  37. in the public school.  On the contrary, they will only learn the way that
  38. they shouldn't go.  The entire worldview, the entire culture presented in
  39. the public school is (or should be) alien to a Christian.  Secular humanism,
  40. condom distribution, values clarification, evolution, mockery of God and
  41. the Bible, promotion of sodomy as normal, etc. are a complete opposite to
  42. God's way for children to be trained. We could discuss that God wants children
  43. to be immersed in His way of thinking (as presented in Deuteronomy).  How can
  44. we then consider putting our children in a prison (compulsary education laws
  45. make it that) where any mention of God or His Word is censored.

  47. This is not even considering that the public schools are not hardly
  48. educating anyone.  They are simply an expensive facade for political
  49. and cultural indoctrination. (Do I loathe the public school system?
  50. YES; I am convinced that it is absolutely a satanic creation.)

  52. Our family has been homeschooling since January of this year.  We have two
  53. boys, ages 9 and 11, who had previously attended public school. We believe
  54. that we are called by God to homeschool the boys and we take that calling
  55. very seriously.  As the Bible says, we are seeking first His kingdom and
  56. His righteousness (by putting God first in our family's lives) and all
  57. the other things will be added (character development and academics).

  72. These should give you an idea that the public school system is as bankrupt
  73. academically as it is morally and spiritually. (Healy blames the parents
  74. and the prevalent culture as much if not more than the public schools.)
