- Regarding the legality of defacing currency, I believe that it is legal as
- long as it is not done for the purpose of fraud, theft, etc. Someone
- mentioned that banks pull bills that are defaced, though, which sounds like it
- could well be true.

- I think that an economic boycott would be a lot more effective than currency
- stamping, though.

- First, it's more inclusive. For every gay/les that supports the boycott,
- there might well be two or three sympathizers who will as well, but who
- wouldn't (for various reasons) pass stamped bills.

- Second, money is power. CO businesses aren't going to give a shit if they get
- paid in pink dollars, but they'll raise the roof if they don't get paid *at
- all*.
