  13. I went to talk to my English TA about my gay culture paper today (I posted
  14. something earlier about my paper).  She so graciously pointed out that
  15. there are many very conservative people in my class, and that one of these
  16. people might be the person grading my paper.  (We grade each other's papers
  17. in this class)  She told me that I should either write about part of gay
  18. culture that would not offend even the most close-minded people, or that I
  19. should choose another topic.  How does she expect me to write about any
  20. aspect of gay culture and still offend no one?  I think what she was really
  21. wanting me to do was to choose another topic.  Well, she can get over it. 
  22. This is what I want to write about, and I don't care who I offend in my class.
