- There is absolutely no evidence to support this point of view. Prior
- to the election, no one even believed that #2 could pass. All the polls
- showed it failing (presumably because many supporters were ashamed to
- admit it). There was no reason to fear consequences from something
- no one believed could happen.

- The statewide boycott idea is an emotional response. Hurt the innocent
- along with the guilty and tough luck. About as silly as protesting at
- state Democratic party headquarters on election night, as if they had
- anything to do with it passing (the Dems officially OPPOSED Amendment 2).
- Believe me, I can understand the frustration that the gays must be
- feeling, but lashing out against the most convenient target, without
- regard for whether hurting that target will really help the cause, is
- not the way to get this thing reversed.
