  12. I haven't seen anything about this here, but I'm informed
  13. that Colorado was much discussed at last weekend's Creating
  14. Change conference in LA.  The consensus from that gathering
  15. of ~1500 activists from across the country was that, instead
  16. of boycotting Colorado, queers should kill the place with
  17. *niceness*.

  19. There's a plan to set up "sister city" partnerships between
  20. the GLB communities in cities in Colorado and everywhere else.
  21. Through these partnerships, GLBs would increase queer
  22. visibility in the Colorado cities, work on heartwarming
  23. projects like cleaning up parks, helping the homeless, etc...
  24. When the next Amendment 2 comes around, straight citizens
  25. will know some real queers, see the good that they've done in
  26. their communities, and reject the Evil Fundie Agenda.

  28. Sounds pretty clever to me, and this strategy would completely
  29. disarm the opposition, while a boycott would play right into
  30. their hands...
