  25. I say this because in almost every mammal species, male nipples
  26. and clitorises are *entirely* nonfunctional, since they are not
  27. stimulated by sexual contact. I thought I made that adequately
  28. clear in my posting... in this sense, it's valid to talk about
  29. their pleasure function in humans being an evolutionary accident.
  30. (I don't see how the term "accident" is perjorative in this
  31. context, either, but I'm notoriously insensitive.)

  45. What did I say that was inaccurate? In any event, I never said
  46. there was no purpose to nipples on men, or to clitorises. I said
  47. there was no *evolutionary* purpose; by which I meant, when they
  48. arose, they had no adaptive value. That was all I meant by
  49. "evolutionary purpose". Again, I don't see how this could be
  50. taken as a perjorative statement.
