  27.   Heh. My cultivated and pure Southern California accent is constantly
  28. being assaulted by various mongrel accents which I am occasionally
  29. subjected to on trips. I have a *horrible* propensity for picking up
  30. dialects in record time. To this day, a one week visit to Montreal
  31. resulted in the incurable affliction of "eh?". When I was down in
  32. Na'lins for Decus a few people noticed upon my return various tell-
  33. tale signs of that dread dialect -- it seems that my slowing in speech
  34. and drawl were more to due with the massive imbibing which took place
  35. on that trip (right Greg?) and thankfully there's no trace now.
  36. Boston, thankfully, though I've been back recruiting a number of
  37. times has largely not affected me -- but I do sort of find their
  38. accents cute in an odd way which is usually a bad sign. Also, I 
  39. know that were I to go to Ireland, I'd immediately turn into a faire
  40. leprechaun and they'd have to shoot me upon return.
