- I expect that it comes from a particular corner of the UK
- known as RADA (the Royal Academy of the Dramatic Arts).
- You'll notice that the Divine Diana Rigg, among others, is
- vocally handicapped in the same way. No Real Person(tm)
- speaks that way, and only a RADA graduate can hope to get
- away with it. The Divine Jessye Norman, alas, is living
- proof of that.
