  29.  There was an article in the Denver Post yesterday about how many
  30. religious groups have moved into Colorado Springs in the last 12 years.
  31. Something like 19. Colo Spgs actively recurited them to relocate.
  32. I have this sinking feeling that admendment 2 is only the _first_
  33. thing that we will see originating out of Colo Spgs. Some republican from
  34. Colo Spgs in the legislature just announced that this is his last term, he's
  35. going to run for governer. I don't know alot about him but I would not
  36. be suprised if a part of his campaign were to center around 
  37. "conservative religious values".

  39. Admendment 2 failed in the Denver metro area. It passed in the rural 
  40. areas and southern areas by a big margin. You can't quite say that 
  41. the locals didn't pass it. I doubt that the areas (excluding the Springs)
  42. where admendment 2 passed have large numbers of people from elsewhere.
  43. Most migration into Colorado is into the front range area. They were
  44. the people who voted it down. My point being that a lot of small
  45. agricultural communities voted for it and there weren't enough votes
  46. in the large metro or ski areas to compensate.

  48. Intolerance is intolerance and not a christian value. 
  49. I tolerate the religious right, and they should have to tolerate 
  50. other peoples divergent beliefs(including mine).
