- My husband watched that segment with me. He was stunned by the woman
- in the parking lot, who was yelling that "you people are trying to
- ruin this country" and so on. He asked me later what on earth makes
- people so scared and so hateful. I think it was the first time he
- really realized, in his gut, that there is a level of discrimination
- that is more than just
- politely firing a person or impersonally not voting for them, a
- level that involves yelling stupid things in parking lots, a level
- that can cross the line to violence easily.
