  25. Hmm.  I like to think that I 'get it', but I don't really fit into
  26. this mold.  I'm a white male who hasn't experienced unusual direct
  27. oppression (other than the standard lack of insurance
  28. benefits/marriage rights/etc).

  30. Perhaps it's more a factor of how self-confident the individual is.
  31. If you're confident of your own sexuality, you're less likely to be
  32. bothered by others.  If you're confident of your place in male/female
  33. interactions, you're less likely to have a problem with women.  And
  34. further, you're more likely to be sympathetic to the plight of others
  35. if you're confident of your place in the world.
