  35. whatever we can to change this place for the better.

  37. It's understandably tempting to move away from the heat (listen to me
  38. talk -- I live in San Francisco, not exactly Oregon, but anyway...),
  39. and I can't blame people who follow the temptation (I don't know if I
  40. could have stayed in Oregon over the past year), but it's the people
  41. who stay and fight who make the difference.  Blacks were often told,
  42. "Why don't you just go somewhere else?"  Well, where we live is our
  43. home.  And we can't keep running.  At some point Somewhere Else
  44. becomes Here...
