- A while back, Barbara Walters interviewed "Stormin'" Normin about
- overturning the ban. He was against it because it would cause
- "morale" problems. In other words, the straight boyz wouldn't get
- along with 'em. Some gay-positive heterosexuals watching with
- me started to (reluctantly) buy into that - until I reminded them that
- was the "official" reason for not allowing blacks to serve with whites
- several decades ago (the white boyz wouldn't get along with 'em).
-
- At least Normin what's-his-name didn't bother to attack homosexuals as
- less-than-real-men or perverts. Still, it's unfortunate that he would
- fall back on yet another outdated line of crap.
