- On a note vaguely related to the subject matter of the book reviewed
- in the previous post a survey of dietary attitudes was published in
- the UK yesterday and reported on the Radio 4 'Today Programme' this
- morning.
-
- It seems that 6 out of 10 women and 5 out of 10 men are worried about
- being overweight so it seems that there is greater pressure on women
- in this area. It also appears that those who are not worried about
- what they eat tend to be in general healthier than those that are
- worried after being matched for other health factors.
-
- It would be interesting to see any statistics showing the change in the
- number [of women] who are worried about their weight over recent decades
- and whether these can be realted to external factors in any way.
-
- Perhaps this information might be contained in 'Fasting Girls'
