- No they weren't. That was propaganda spread by Tito to
- justify his efforts to exterminate them.
-
- Tito spent more time and effort fighting the Chetniks
- than he spent fighting the Nazis.
-
- Some references substantiating my claims:
-
- David Martin; The Web of Disinformation; Harcourt, Brace, Jovanovich
- (1990).
-
- Michael Lees; The Rape of Serbia; Harcourt, Brace, Jovanovich (1990).

-
- In any case, I wasn't just referring to Chetniks.
- 'Cro' had drawn the Serbian symbol (it's not a Chetnik symbol).
- The Serbs in general opposed Hitler, while the Ustashis
- (who I was referring to as Cro's 'kind'---not Croatians in general)
- clearly favored Hitler.
-
- This was reflected in the fact that according to the Nazis,
- Serbia was officially an occupied country under direct German
- military rule. The Independent State of Croatia (NDH) was a
- nominally independent Nazi co-belligerent.
