  24. I'm pretty sure that a (lady) firend of mine didn't change her last 
  25. name after her marriage. My wife still use her own lastname and I like
  26. it; but this is USA; I wonder if she would have to change it once we
  27. return to Thailand; I  hope not.  In fact, I may set a precedence
  28. by changing my lastname to hers!

  30. Those ladies who get rewarded with the rank of Khunying (K. Supatra
  31. included) should fight for this equality. (Though I suspect that
  32. they'd be stripped off the precious ranks if they did so. :)
  33. I would  like to see the 
  34. law requires that a couples toss a coin to determine whose lastname
  35. will be used. Either that or the couples continue to use their old
  36. lastnames. There shall be no change of lastname on a voluntary basis
  37. since this will lead to women changing lastnames to their husband's 
  38. by social pressure.

  40. As for the children, the law should require that they use a totally
  41. different lastname from their parents.

  43. This will prevent sex preference in having children and
  44. will also discourage a couple from having too many children at the same
  45. time.

  47. I know this will be difficult to accept by most men who have enjoyed
  48. the superior status quo since dawn of civilization. I know that 80%
  49. of women would also side with those male bastards. They will find
  50. zillions of reason to oppose this idea and the most obvious one
  51. would be 'This Tawit guy is a lunatic who is out to destroy our
  52. precious time-honored culture, family value, etc.'

  54. Beware men! Don't ever elect me to the Parliament or I will
  55. see to it that Thailand be the most advanced nation on lastname bill.
