- We can all gripe about the short comings of
- democracy but that's the best we got so far.Of course
- a dictatorship would be nice and dandy as long as you are on
- the right side. For the rest of em life would suck
- like hell.( As the SLFP,LSSP,CP,JVP etc... supporters

- Agreed on this one.Perhaps a more genuine
- democracy would have helped on the way.Of course
- we still have the 5 STAR democracy the old fox
- used to blabber about.
- >A military coup might be the way to go.
- To be frank every time one of the big
- generals are bumped off I hold my breath thinking
- ok here it comes. So far no signs of any of the
- big ones thinking about doing a 'la Chile or a
- Thailand'.I guess they are not realy interested
- since they have all the power they can ever imagine
- while the civilian leaders are having the "carnivals"
- etc..
- Shucks it would be great if we had one for
- a change so that we don't have to go and see the MP's
- any more for jobs etc..We'd have our privates
- and corprals living right next door dispensing the
- political booty!
