  19. Well,  check out rec.bicycles.misc (or .soc) and you'll usually find a thread
  20. about helmet use.  At the moment it's discussing helmet (dis)use in Holland
  21. and coming up with all sorts on types of accidents,  types of injuries, 
  22. typical cylists (e.g. commuting vs sport).

  24. I won't add my view as I see it every day in the cycling groups, but the
  25. arguments are usually along the lines of:

  27. Freedom of choice
  28. X years and no accident yet
  29. X accidents and no injuries to head
  30. Standard of cyclist cf likelihood of crashing
  31. Inhibits performance
  32. Rolling/falling techniques.

  34. Sometimes I think the debate should be used in 1st year philosophy classes - it
  35. has no end!
