- Compulsory seat belts, bike helmets, motorbike jackets and the like make
- perfect sense in a country which has socialised medicine (as all
- countries should). One could argue that one should be able to
- simultaneously opt out of these protections and the health care system,
- but I doubt that the number of takers would justify the trouble of the
- legislation.
