  33. YEs Rached, I have read some Islamic law and I would not accept to live under
  34. an Islamic state for many reasons:

  36. 1- I am not a muslim thus I am not bound by Islam.
  37. 2- Under Islam I am considered as a second class citizen.
  38.   a- I am not equal to all citizens
  39.   b- I am "protected" and not a free independant citizen
  40.   c- etc. etc.
  41. 3- it is forbidden for Muslims to convert and become non-muslims
  42. 4- etc. etc.

  49. Rached, history is full of all kinds of stories, some are positive others are
  50. not. THerfore refering to Spain as an example, it is possible to refere to
  51. Arabia and other places where Christians were not well treated and where Jews
  52. were not as welcome. The same about the inquisition of the Christins in Spain.
  53. NOte that this inquisition was not only directed against the Jews and the
  54. Muslims but also against Christains who were not of the same belief as the
  55. inquisitors.
