  38. I would be grateful if you could provide some sources for your last
  39. statement. I left Russia not so long ago and I hardly felt any Israeli
  40. pressure let alone attempts "to eliminate the opportunity for Russian
  41. Jews to go anywhere but Israel". Russian authorities couldn't care less 
  42. where I was going. As far as American immigration quotas are concerned I 
  43. strongly doubt that Israel exercises any influence over them. The percentage 
  44. of Jews among xSoviet emigres in the U.S. is steadily declining thus making
  45. it less likely than ever for Israel to press American administration for
  46. the changes in the U.S. immigration policies.
