- I would be grateful if you could provide some sources for your last
- statement. I left Russia not so long ago and I hardly felt any Israeli
- pressure let alone attempts "to eliminate the opportunity for Russian
- Jews to go anywhere but Israel". Russian authorities couldn't care less
- where I was going. As far as American immigration quotas are concerned I
- strongly doubt that Israel exercises any influence over them. The percentage
- of Jews among xSoviet emigres in the U.S. is steadily declining thus making
- it less likely than ever for Israel to press American administration for
- the changes in the U.S. immigration policies.
