- NHK has recently reported that a former soldier in the Imperial Army who is
- Korean has sued the Japanese government for his pension. It is expected that
- several hundred similar lawsuits will be filed. I am unclear on your statement
- above, Mr Watanabe. If your question is "Were any Americans of Taiwanese or
- Korean descent interred as enemies in the US during WWII?", the answer is no.
- If the question is "Were such people interred in Japan?", the answer is
- yes.

- recent "comfort women" issue.
