  28. NHK has recently reported that a former soldier in the Imperial Army who is
  29. Korean has sued the Japanese government for his pension. It is expected that
  30. several hundred similar lawsuits will be filed. I am unclear on your statement
  31. above, Mr Watanabe. If your question is "Were any Americans of Taiwanese or 
  32. Korean descent interred as enemies in the US during WWII?", the answer is no.
  33. If the question is "Were such people interred in Japan?", the answer is
  34. yes.

  36. In any event, the compensation issue promises to be at least as nasty as the
  37. recent "comfort women" issue.
