- When I was in Japan a few months ago I watched a documentary on
- television there that showed that many Japanese are against the
- Plutonian shipment. In fact, even according to the Japanese
- government, there is no economic justification for using
- Plutonian rather than Uranium in their reactors. Finally, every
- Japanese scientist I spoke with is against the shipment.
-
- It seems to me like an absolutely crazy thing to do, as did every
- Japanese scientist I spoke with while there. The possible
- consequences of the material falling some day into the wrong hands
- are so catastrophic (destruction of Tokyo, Washington, New York,
- Paris, London ?...) are just too horrific to imagine.
