- As to what prevents the guilty from punished, I really
- cannot pretend to know the Indian Govt viewpoint. At
- most, I can say that you should understand that justice for
- anyone, whether Sikh or not, is not as readily available as
- one would wish. There are countless atrocities all the time,
- all go unpunished. That is not a justification - I am only pointing
- out that you must appreciate the difference between
- Police/Govt inaction and the views of normal, powerless
- Indian citizens. Do not conclude that Govt inaction implies
- popular connivance. I may disagree with the Government and
- have strong contrary views even if I happen to belong to the
- majority community. Separatism is not the answer.
-
- I suggest we move this to e-mail if you would like to
- continue.
-
- Best Regards
