- I have only recently begun attempting to learn Esperanto, and I had a few
- questions I was hoping some of y'all could help me with.
-
- 1) Does the -in- suffix work for specifying female animals? For instance,
- is a female dog a 'hundino'?
- 2) Is this 'gesinjoroj' the correct way to say 'Ladies and Gentlemen'?
- From the rule of using the 'ge-' prefix to specify both male and female
- members, it would seem that it is, but I can't find an example.
- 3) How would one pronounce 'geknuboj' (boys and girls, I hope). Would
- it be 'gek-noo-boy', or 'ge-ka-noo-boy', or is the 'k' relatively
- silent?
- 4) How about 'kvar' and 'kvin'?
-
- Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-
- Also, apologies if this appears more than once, we've been having nntp
- server troubles.
