  29. No 'bismirching' of Islam or Muslims intended, at least on my part.  I simply
  30. want to be able to refer to groups like the ones that are killing innocent
  31. tourists in Egypt.  I guess I'll call them Muslim Fanatics from now on, unless
  32. you have other suggestions?

  42. Surely you jest!  "minute and meticulous details"?  How come Muslims can't
  43. agree *even* on the religious aspects of Islam, let alone social, political,
  44. and economic aspects. I presume that you are aware that there are Shi'aa 
  45. and Sunni Muslims?  and variuos sub-sects (Mathaheb)?

  47. What you seem to miss is that various (not all) aspects of religion are open
  48. to interpretation, and usually conflicting interpretations:  Most Muslims
  49. agree that if you pass gas, you cannot pray unless you Wash (Wodou'), but
  50. what if you *see* a dog?

  52. Of course, the disagreements become much more significant when you are dealing
  53. with social, political and economic aspects.
