- That should be Taranto (on the inside of the heel of Italy), it was May
- of 1941 (six months before PH). Another interesting thing about the
- attack was that it was made around midnight. They dropped flares
- "behind" the ships, to shiloutte them, and then the torp. bombers
- made their attack. They only sank one battleship, but severly damaged
- two others (at the cost of two planes shot down, but only one crew
- killed). The psycological impact was much greater, as the Italians
- moved the remaining ships to more remote ports - for all intents,
- taking them out of the war.

- the Japanese the confidence that their attack on PH would be successful.
