- Can someone suggest a reference for the organization of Brigade,
- Division, and Corps Staff for the United States Army in 1862?
-
- I'm particularly interested in how the staffs of Fitz-John Porter,
- William Franklin, and Israel Richardson were organized at South
- Mountain and Antietam. I've seen scattered information on individual
- officers, but even when a particular person is described, his title
- or official duties (other than aides or couriers) are never given.
-
- Any help would be appreciated; if I get something useful by e-mail
- I'll summarize in a followup.
