  17. I am looking for information about an item I just purchased at a local
  18. surplus store.
  19. It is a laser projector designed to mount on a rifle, in this case, FN.
  20. and has a piezo sensor in the mount which when triggered, fires a 20
  21. or so msec flash of pulsed IR lased light forward. It has fine adjustments
  22. for aiming, an onboard 9 volt battery and a connector for some other part.

  24. It is marked "SIMFIRE" made in England in 1986.6

  26. I am guessing that a blank would trigger the laser as it is quite insensitive.

  28. Maybe a battle training aid? perhaps you also have a sensor on your body
  29. to register a "hit" ?
