- In their paper which appeared in 1989 in the Journal of Physics A.,
- Winternitz and Levi mention that there is still an open question
- concerning what determines whether an equation has non-classical
- symmetries in the sense of Blumen and Cole which are not classical
- symmetries.
-
- Does anyone know if there has been any work done on this subject?
-
- I am about to release a Mathematica package which will compute the
- determining equations for both the classical and non-classical symmetries
- for arbitrarily large systems of equations, and am interested in
- theoretical work in this area.
