  12. I have read an article about a "hot dry rocks" geothermal energy project
  13. that was being launched, I believe by the Los Alamos Laboratory, but the
  14. article is a couple of years old.  (The article is at home and I'm not,
  15. so I can't check it out just now.)

  17. Does anyone know the current status of this project?  Is it still going 
  18. on?  If so, what degree of success have they attained and what are the
  19. major problems they have encountered?

  21. I don't need a great deal in the way of detail--I'm working on a report
  22. on geothermal energy for an undergraduate level geology class.  But if
  23. someone out there could give me some reasonably current information, I
  24. surely would appreciate it.
