  16. with all the data you have supplied to me, thanks so much.

  18. John an interesting occurrence has taken place since the last
  19. transmission that you sent me. I did not realize that you had
  20. access to the NEIC Global Hypocenter Data Base that you have
  21. on CD on your geophysics computer.

  23. John it turns out that you are exactly the person I am in
  24. need of at this point in time. I understand that you are
  25. currently doing your own research, and that you must be very
  26. busy. I have no such access to the type of data base that you
  27. currently have in your geophysics lab. If had such access to
  28. a system as such, I would not pester you with the following
  29. request, please understand.

  31. I was curious as to the coordinates that you relayed to me
  32. on your very first transmission to me. Was the search limited
  33. to a specific area, ie. 100 square mile area. The coordinates
  34. and info you sent me were as follows:

  36. 33.1 N, 106.0 W location accurate to within 0.5 degrees.

  38. Intensity: IV
  39.  
  40. Time: 0400utc
  41.  
  42. Date: December 27, 1943
  43.  
  44. State: New Mexico
  45.  
  46. Please relay the area search information in square miles, if
  47. at all possible.

  49. John I would like to make another request if possible, I
  50. realize that you are busy, the information may be gathered at
  51. your leisure when ever you have the chance, please.

  53. Can you conduct another search with the following information
  54. as the input for the NEIC Global Hypocenter Data Base:

  56. Time Window: Nov 1943 through Feb 1944
  57.  
  58. Area: 100 square miles around the original coordinates
  59. (above).

  61. State: New Mexico.
  62.  
  63. Looking for any seismic activity of any kind in this area in
  64. question. Hopefully you will encounter an Intensity around
  65. the same size as above, but with the time being around noon
  66. time (before or after), within the time window indicated, and
  67. within the same coordinates indicated. Any and all info would
  68. be greatly appreciated.
