- Greetings!
-
- An editor at the International Rice Research Institute
- (IRRI) in the Philippines has been asked to prepare
- a background article about biotechnology in terms that
- a nonscientist lay audience would understand.
-
- He will explain what biotechnology is and describe some
- of the major techniques used in plant breeding, especially
- as applied to rice.
-
- If you have any brief information that would be helpful to
- him, kindly send copies to me personally, as I am not a
- member of this forum and I'll forward them to him. Any
- examples should involve plant breeding, but not necessarily
- limited to rice.
-
- Thanks in advance for any assistance rendered.
